When you are up for a Tony for the musical version of Theatre Kids, the red carpet will assuredly be your cape moment.
BSD Is one of my all time favorites. I love how Coppola incorporates so many cinematic tricks but never looses sight of the narrative. I'm even prepared to defend the much maligned casting of Keanu Reeves.
Mel Brooks used the Coppola version as the jumping off point for his "Dracula" parody "Dead And Loving It."
