I like NASCAR, personally. Actually Demolition Derbys were my all time favorites.
Once I went to the Indy 500 with my Dad when I was 15 years old. It was the first year a turbine engine was in a race car. It won. Then they were banned.
Mostly, I just wanted to sneak into the infield and hang around all the bikers.
Top 5 Race Car Movies and no Elvis?!!!? Where's Viva Las Vegas and Spinout and Speedway. Hint: If you're stuck, go with the first one—Elvis and Ann are hot together and the music is better.
Definitely my fav, and yeah, Garner was a class act all the way around. Matt Hardigree wrote an excellent piece on how Garner really was the guy people think McQueen was. Anyway, I haven’t seen “Ferrari” yet, but I’m pretty much looking for the same thing you are in a racing movie. I’m sure I’ll enjoy the racing scenes, but I don’t need to watch yet another midcentury male captain of industry behaving like an entitled DB.

Richard Petty was always my hero.
Think I’ll pass on this one.

You're a Days of Thunder guy, just like me.

it really is cruz's movie, and she does something great with a kind of two dimensional role
